What do Emser lozenges throat lozenges without menthol contain?
One lozenge contains: 126 mg natural Emser salt. (Analysis data of the ions in g/kg: lithium 0.21, sodium 308.7, potassium 6.11, magnesium 0.291, calcium 0.016, manganese 0.0001, iron (II, III) 0.003, fluoride 0.078, chloride 188.4, bromide 0.202, iodide 0.005, nitrate 0.355, sulfate 9.24, hydrogen carbonate 474.4, carbonate 14.0). The following are included as excipients: sucrose, spray-dried gum arabic, stearic acid, tragacanth, calcium stearate, vanilla extract.

Emser lozenges throat lozenges without menthol are used to treat sore throats, difficulty swallowing and coughing in case of inflammations in the throat and pharynx of various origins. In addition, Emser lozenges throat lozenges without menthol protect the throat and voice in case of heavy vocal strain, dry respiratory tract and acid reflux.

How do Emser lozenges throat lozenges without menthol work?
Emser lozenges throat lozenges without menthol work on the basis of the EMS mineral complex, consisting of over 30 minerals and trace elements. This unique active ingredient formula not only moistens the mucous membrane of the throat and pharynx, but also actively dissolves mucus and stubborn coatings. At the same time, it intercepts active inflammation triggers on the mucous membrane and thus supports healing.

When should Emser lozenges throat lozenges without menthol not be used?
You should not use Emser lozenges throat lozenges without menthol if you are allergic to the ingredients.

Patients who should follow certain diets must consider the following information

1 tablet contains 1.6 mmol (approx. 0.04 g) sodium, approx. 0.00063 mg iodine (as iodide) and 1.0 g sugar corresponding to 0.1 BE. We ask you to take the respective content into account for corresponding diets.

What should be considered during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
There are no studies on the use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Based on general knowledge of the ingredients and many years of experience with the product, it can be assumed that use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is harmless. Patients who should follow a low-salt diet during this time must take the salt content of the tablets into account.

Which medicines are affected in their effect by Emser lozenges throat lozenges without menthol?
An influence on medicines is not known when used as intended, however, Emser lozenges throat lozenges without menthol should not be taken together with medicines directly.

Emser lozenges throat lozenges without menthol are free of essential oils and can be used safely during homeopathic treatment.

How much and how often should you use Emser lozenges throat lozenges without menthol?
At the first signs of inflammation such as sore throats, difficulty swallowing, coughing or hoarseness, before or during heavy vocal strain, suck 1 to 2 tablets several times (up to 6 times) daily as needed or let them dissolve slowly in the mouth. Children up to 6 years of age can suck one lozenge up to 4 times daily as needed or let it dissolve slowly in the mouth.

How long should you use Emser lozenges throat lozenges without menthol?
Emser lozenges throat lozenges without menthol can be taken for an unlimited period of time. If the symptoms in the throat and voice do not improve within 3 days despite the use of Emser lozenges throat lozenges without menthol, we recommend consulting a doctor.

What should be done if Emser lozenges throat lozenges without menthol have been swallowed in large quantities?
If a large number (several packs) of Emser lozenges throat lozenges without menthol are taken, nausea and vomiting as well as a feeling of fullness and flatulence may occur. Countermeasures are not necessary.

Very rarely, stomach problems and flatulence may occur. If side effects occur that are not described in this information for use, please let us know.

Please note

Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date. Do not store above 30°C. Store the lozenges protected from light in the outer carton.
