Liposomal nasal spray with dexpanthenol for the care and treatment of the mucous membrane

Ingredients

Soya lecithin, sodium chloride, ethanol, dexpanthenol, vitamin A - palmitate, vitamin E, aqua purificata.

Areas of application

LipoNasal Nasal Care Spray is used to moisten and care for the mucous membranes in the case of a dry and blocked nose and for the supportive treatment of inflammations of the mucous membranes (e.g. rhinosinusitis) and secretion congestion in the nose and paranasal sinuses.

Application

Spray Liponasal Nasal Care Spray into each nostril 1-2 times a day as required.

Tips for the correct

Application

• Clean the nose before using the spray
• Tilt your head forward at an angle of approx. 45° ("Look at your own feet while standing")
• Hold the nasal spray upright. Insert the spray nozzle into the nostril and hold it slightly towards the outside of the nose (do not spray onto the nasal septum)
• Inhale slowly through the nose and release a full spray
• Exhale through the mouth
• Do the same on the other side.

Please wipe the spray nozzle after each use and replace the protective cap after use. To avoid possible infection, each spray bottle should only be used by one person.

Contraindications

Liponasal Nasal Care Spray should not be used if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.

Notes

For technical reasons, a certain amount of residue remains in each bottle. The bottles are generously filled so that the specified amount can be removed.

Information on the function of the mucous membranes

The inhaled air enters the lungs via the nose, mouth and throat (upper respiratory tract) and via the larynx, trachea and bronchial tubes (bronchi) into the two lungs (lower respiratory tract). From here, the inhaled air is passed on via the finest branches (bronchioles) to the alveoli (alveoli). Here, with the help of the alveoli and the finest blood vessels (capillaries), gas exchange takes place, i.e. the absorption of oxygen and the release of carbon dioxide. The optimum conditions for gas exchange are prepared in the nose by the mucous membrane covering. The mucous membrane moistens the breathing air, cleanses and warms it, wards off harmful influences and transports foreign bodies and secretions away with the cilia. The entire lining of our respiratory tract inevitably comes into contact with pathogens, environmental pollutants, dust and pollen. The undisturbed function of the lower respiratory tract depends first of all on the upper respiratory tract fulfilling its task. Diseases of the upper respiratory tract usually continue into the lower respiratory tract. The ciliary movement of the mucous membrane in the respiratory tract is the key to cleanliness and infection defence. The inhaled particles are transported out of the nose by the ciliary beat. The cilia are the driving force behind this "conveyor belt", but the mucous layer is the actual "conveyor belt". The normal mucous film is divided into an inner, thin liquid sol layer, in which the cilia beat, and an outer, discontinuous gel layer (also called the transport layer), which is transported by the ciliary beat. The two layers are separated by a thin layer called the surfactant. The liposomes contained in Liponasal Nasal Care Spray consist of phospholipids, which in healthy people account for around 75% of the phospholipids of the natural nasal surfactant. By supplying these phospholipids, the surfactant is supported and stabilised, thus supporting the natural defence mechanisms of the nasal mucous membrane.

Information on storage and shelf life

Store in a cool and dry place. Keep out of reach of children. The expiry date of this product is printed on the folding box and the label. This product can be used for a period of three months after first use. Do not use after the expiry date. When used for the first time, 3-4 pumps are necessary to fill the riser.
