1. WHAT IS PANTHENOL NASENCREME JENAPHARM AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR?

Panthenol Nasencreme Jenapharm is a wound healing agent. Panthenol Nasencreme Jenapharm is used to support healing in the case of superficial, minor mucous membrane damage to the nose. If you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 7 days, contact your doctor.

2. WHAT SHOULD YOU CONSIDER BEFORE USING PANTHENOL NASENCREME JENAPHARM?

Panthenol Nasencreme Jenapharm must not be used if you are allergic to dexpanthenol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6.

Warnings and precautions

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Panthenol Nasencreme.

Use of Panthenol Nasencreme Jenapharm together with other medicines

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using, have recently taken/used or intend to take/use any other medicines. No interactions have been reported to date.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine. There are no restrictions on the use of Panthenol Nasencreme Jenapharm during pregnancy and breast-feeding.

Driving and operating machinery

There is no evidence to suggest that Panthenol Nasencreme Jenapharm affects the ability to actively participate in road traffic or to operate machinery. The same applies to work without secure footing.

Panthenol Nasencreme Jenapharm contains bronopol and wool wax

Bronopol and wool wax can cause localised skin irritation (e.g. contact dermatitis). Wool wax may contain traces of butylhydroxytoluene; butylhydroxytoluene can cause localised skin irritation (e.g. contact dermatitis), irritation of the eyes and mucous membranes.

3. HOW TO USE PANTHENOL NASENCREME JENAPHARM?

Always use this medicine exactly as described in this package leaflet or exactly as agreed with your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. The recommended dose is: Panthenol Nasencreme Jenapharm is applied thinly to the affected area of the nose one to several times a day using the tip of the tube. The nasal cream can be gently massaged in by pressing the nostrils together.

Method of administration

Nasal use.

Duration of use

The duration of treatment depends on the type and course of the disease. Do not use Panthenol Nasencreme Jenapharm for longer than 7 days without consulting a doctor.

If you have used more Panthenol Nasencreme Jenapharm than you should

You can continue treatment with the specified dosage. No adverse effects are to be expected in the event of short-term overdose.

If you forget to use Panthenol Nasencreme Jenapharm

Do not use double the amount to make up for the forgotten application.

If you have any further questions on the use of this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

4. WHAT SIDE EFFECTS ARE POSSIBLE?

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Occasionally (may affect up to 1 in 100 people): Intolerance reactions (e.g. contact allergies). Special notes: If the listed side effect occurs for the first time or if your symptoms worsen, do not continue to use Panthenol Nasencreme Jenapharm and consult your doctor as soon as possible.

If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. This also applies to side effects not listed in this package leaflet. 5. HOW TO STORE PANTHENOL NASENCREME JENAPHARM?

Keep this medicine out of the reach of children. Storage conditions: Do not store above 25°C. Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the tube and the folding box after "Use by:" or "Usable until:". The expiry date refers to the last day of the month indicated. Note on shelf life after opening: Panthenol Nasencreme Jenapharm can be stored for 6 months after first opening the tube.

6. CONTENTS OF THE PACK AND OTHER INFORMATION

What Panthenol Nasencreme Jenapharm contains

The active ingredient is: Dexpanthenol. 1 g of nasal cream contains 50 mg of dexpanthenol. The other ingredients are: Wool wax, white petrolatum, purified water, liquid paraffin, bronopol.

What Panthenol Nasencreme Jenapharm looks like and contents of the pack

Panthenol Nasencreme Jenapharm is a white to slightly yellowish cream and is available in packs of 5 g and 10 g [2 x 5 g]. Not all pack sizes may be marketed.
