1. WHAT IS METAVIRULENT AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR?

metavirulent contains a combination of homeopathic single remedies that complement each other in their areas of application and their drug profiles. The areas of application are derived from the homeopathic drug profiles. These include: flu-like infections. Note: If fever persists for more than 3 days or rises above 39°C, a doctor should be consulted.

2. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE TAKING METAVIRULENT?

metavirulent must not be taken:
  • by alcoholics,
  • if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to any of the active ingredients of metavirulent.

Take special care when taking metavirulent

Due to the alcohol content, people with liver disease or epilepsy should only use metavirulent after consulting their doctor.

Children

Only give metavirulent to children under 12 years of age after consulting a doctor, as there is not yet sufficient experience for a general recommendation for this age group.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding: Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any
medicines.

Driving and using machines

metavirulent has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive and use machines if the recommended dosage is followed. Please note the alcohol content of 37% by volume when taking a higher dosage.

Interactions of metavirulent with other medicines

Interactions are not known to date. Please inform your doctor, naturopath or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, even if they are non-prescription medicines.

Interactions of metavirulent with food and drink

No adverse effects are to be expected. However, the effect of a homeopathic medicine can be weakened by generally harmful factors in the lifestyle and by stimulants and luxuries.

Important information about other ingredients of metavirulent

metavirulent contains 37% alcohol by volume and must therefore not be given to alcoholics. The alcohol content must be taken into account in pregnant or breastfeeding women as well as in children and patients with an increased risk due to liver disease or epilepsy.

3. HOW TO TAKE METAVIRULENT?

Always take metavirulent exactly as described in this package leaflet. Please ask your doctor, naturopath or pharmacist if you are not sure. Unless otherwise prescribed, adolescents aged 12 years and over and adults should take a maximum of 12 times a day, 5-10 drops each, for acute conditions over 2 days. When the symptoms subside, the dose should be reduced or the remedy discontinued.

Method of administration

metavirulent is best taken drop by drop on the tongue (perlingually) or taken in a little liquid. For correct dosing, the bottle should be held at an angle of about 45° when dripping.

Duration of use

Even homeopathic medicines should not be taken for long periods of time without medical advice. The duration of use depends on the clinical picture. If the symptoms persist unchanged for more than 2 days or worsen, further use should only be taken after consultation with a doctor or naturopath experienced in homeopathy.

If you have taken more metavirulent than you should

Due to the dilution of the active ingredients, no sustained effects of an overdose are to be expected. When taking considerable amounts, the alcohol content must be taken into account.

If you forget to take metavirulent

If you forget to take metavirulent on time, take it as soon as possible and then return to your normal dosing schedule. If this is no longer possible, continue to follow the dosing instructions as if the interruption had not occurred. Do not take a double dose. Please talk to your doctor, naturopath or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of metavirulent is too strong or too weak or if you have any further questions about the use of the medicine.

4. WHAT SIDE EFFECTS ARE POSSIBLE?

No side effects are known to date. However, like all medicines, metavirulent can have side effects. Note: When taking homeopathic medicines, existing symptoms may temporarily worsen (initial reaction). The medicine should then be discontinued. After the initial reaction has subsided, the medicine can be taken again. If the symptoms increase again, the remedy should be discontinued.

If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. This also applies to side effects not listed in this package leaflet. You can also report side effects directly to the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices, Dept. of Pharmacovigilance, Kurt-Georg-Kiesinger Allee 3, D-53175 Bonn, website: www.bfarm.de, by reporting side effects you can help to provide more information on the safety of this medicine.

Storage conditions

No special storage conditions are required for this medicine. However, if possible, it should not be stored near strong electromagnetic fields (televisions, computer screens, microwave ovens) as these could weaken the effect of metavirulent.
