Chicory, in the bag

Chicorée is not a friend of the sun. It cannot tolerate sunlight and grows in the dark. The vitamin- and mineral-rich lettuce is white with yellowish tips. Because of its bitter taste, chicory is not consumed fresh like other salads, but is usually processed in casseroles and fried dishes or used as a garnish for crab salads.
