Spinach

Spinach probably originated in Asia, where it still grows wild today. Its green leaves have a typically pleasantly mild aroma. Processed and heated as a soup or e.g. as a component of pasta, it can be used wonderfully. Even raw, it harmonizes as a salad with e.g. pomegranate seeds and goat cheese.
