TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE REUSABLE BAG SERVICE

This document sets out the Terms and Conditions for the Reusable Bag Service (“Terms”). It is a legal document that clearly defines the rights and obligations related to the use of this service – i.e., the delivery of orders from the e-shop www.knuspr.de in reusable bags.

Who we are and where to find us

The e-shop www.knuspr.de can be accessed via the website www.knuspr.de or the mobile app Knuspr.de (“Knuspr.de e-shop”).

The e-shop is operated by Großer Kern GmbH, located at Tal 30, 80331 Munich, registered in the Commercial Register of the Munich District Court under HRB 256048 (“Knuspr.de”).

These Terms apply as of 24.04.2025.

To help you navigate these Terms, we have prepared a brief overview of each section and a description of the most important information you will find in each.

REUSABLE BAG SERVICE

Paper or reusable? The choice is yours.

By default, goods are delivered in disposable paper bags, which can be returned to the courier for recycling. If you want to make a more sustainable choice, opt for reusable bags – sturdy, reusable bags made from recycled PET bottles.

You shop more sustainably, without unnecessary packaging or complicated logistics. Simply select reusable bags at checkout – we’ll take care of the rest.

ACTIVATING THE SERVICE

How to activate

Simply select “reusable bags” in the “Packaging” section when completing your order. By doing so, you agree to these Terms.

Xtra members

The reusable bag service is automatically active for Xtra members, with no deposit required.
Any deposit already paid will be refunded as shopping credit, or in cash upon explicit request.
New Xtra members who have not yet paid a deposit can use the service immediately and free of charge.

Non-Xtra members

If you are not an Xtra member, you can use the reusable bag service by paying a one-time deposit of €10.00 (“deposit”), which will be added to your first order delivered in reusable bags.

How does it all work?

In both cases, the bags remain the property of Knuspr.de. It is your responsibility to return the bags to the courier with future orders so that we can clean, check, and reuse them. This saves waste, time, and helps protect the environment.

How many bags can you have at home?

To keep the system sustainable for everyone, we have set a maximum number of bags you may currently “hold” (i.e., not yet returned):

Xtra members: max. 50 bags
Non-Xtra members: max. 20 bags

If you exceed your limit, your order may be delivered in paper bags instead – until you return some of the bags. You can check the current number of bags at any time in your account or in the mobile app.

Bags can only be returned by handing them over to the courier when receiving a new order.

Examples

Example 1 – Customer with Xtra membership:

A customer with an active Xtra membership receives 28 reusable bags with their first order. With the second order, they receive 20 more, bringing the total to 48 bags at home.

If they return at least one bag with the second delivery (total 47), they remain within the limit, and the next order will again be delivered in reusable bags.
If they do not return any bags and end up with more than 50, the system detects that the limit has been reached – and future orders may be delivered in paper bags. The customer can only use reusable bags again after returning some.

Example 2 – Customer without Xtra membership:

A non-Xtra member first orders goods in reusable bags and receives 15 bags. With the next order, they receive 5 more, reaching the maximum of 20 bags.

If no bags are returned with the next order, the next delivery may be in paper bags.
As soon as at least one reusable bag is returned with a future order, goods will again be delivered in reusable bags – until the limit is exceeded again.

CANCELLING THE REUSABLE BAG SERVICE

You can cancel the reusable bag service at any time – without giving reasons and without additional conditions.

Cancellation for Xtra members

If you cancel your Xtra membership or no longer use the service, you may keep and continue using the reusable bags. However, if you remain inactive for longer than 6 months, Knuspr.de reserves the right to request the return of the bags.

Do you want to use the service again? Simply activate it with your next order by selecting the “reusable bags” option.

Cancellation for non-Xtra members

If you activated the service by paying a deposit and decide to cancel, you are entitled to a refund – provided you return all reusable bags supplied by Knuspr.de.

Cancellations and refund requests can only be made by phone via the Knuspr.de customer hotline: 089 88 99 75 00
The deposit will be refunded within 14 days in one of the following ways:
- As credit to your Knuspr.de customer account (credits never expire and can be used for future purchases), or
- As a bank transfer to the account used for the original payment – if explicitly requested.

After cancellation, the service can be reactivated at any time – simply select the “reusable bags” option again at checkout. In this case, a new deposit is required.

FINAL PROVISIONS

Knuspr.de is not liable for damages or intangible harm if reusable bags are temporarily unavailable – for example due to supply shortages, delivery interruptions, or other exceptional circumstances. In such cases, Knuspr.de reserves the right to deliver goods temporarily in paper bags.

We will do our utmost to restore the reusable bag service as quickly as possible. However, if for capacity or technical reasons it is not possible to deliver in reusable bags for longer than 90 days, your deposit will be refunded – provided all bags are returned.

Any use of the reusable bag service is subject to German law, excluding international private law. For dispute resolution, German courts have exclusive jurisdiction. If the customer is a business, the courts at Knuspr.de’s registered office have exclusive jurisdiction.

We point out that we are neither obliged nor willing to participate in a dispute resolution procedure before a consumer arbitration board. Instead, we always strive to resolve any conflicts with our customers directly. Please also contact our customer service for this purpose.

Knuspr.de reserves the right to amend or supplement these Terms at any time in a reasonable manner. You will be informed in advance by e-mail or in another appropriate way, giving you the opportunity to review the new version. If you do not agree with the changes, you have the right to terminate the service and request a refund of the deposit – again provided that all bags are returned.
