Description

Systane Geltropfen lubricating gel for the eyes relieves moderate to severe symptoms of dry eye. It can be used during the day and also at night. The formulation has been specially developed for intensive moistening of the eye surface. It protects against further cell damage.

Systane Geltropfen is a sterile solution with the following ingredients:
Polyethylene glycol 400, Propylene glycol, Hydroxypropyl guar, Sorbitol, Aminomethyl propanol, Boric acid, Potassium chloride, Sodium chloride, Sodium edetate and the preservative Polyquad (Polyquaternium-1) 0.001%.

Indications

Systane Geltropfen are gel-like lubricating drops for the therapy of dry eyes. Systane Geltropfen relieves symptoms of dry eyes such as burning and irritation.

Contraindications (Reasons against use)

If you are allergic to any of the ingredients of Systane Geltropfen, you should not use this product.

Instructions for Use

Systane Geltropfen can be used during the day as needed and also at night. Shake before use. Wash your hands before applying the lubricating gel. Open the bottle without touching the dropper tip. Hold the bottle between your thumb and fingers with the opening facing downwards. Tilt your head slightly back, look upwards, and pull down the lower eyelid with your index finger. By gently pressing the bottom of the Drop-Tainer bottle, instill 1 drop from above into the conjunctival sac, without the bottle tip touching the eye or eyelid margin. Instill 1 drop into the eye and blink. Systane Geltropfen can also be used for the treatment of dry eye in contact lens wearers by instilling drops before insertion and after removal of the lenses.

Warnings

It is important that you follow the instructions of your doctor or pharmacist and the package leaflet for the correct use of the product. If persistent eye discomfort, excessive tearing, changes in vision, or eye redness occur, consult your doctor or pharmacist, as the symptoms could worsen.

Effects on Driving Ability and Operating Machinery

After using Systane Geltropfen, slight blurred vision may temporarily occur. You should only drive, work without secure footing, or operate machinery again once these signs have subsided.

Precautions:

• Avoid touching the dropper tip of the bottle or its contact with objects to prevent contamination.
• Close again after use.
• Store at room temperature.
• Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.
• Use before the expiry date indicated on the package and bottle.
• Three months after first opening, any remaining product should no longer be used.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Pack Sizes

Systane Geltropfen are sterilized by a combination of steam sterilization and sterile filtration and are available in plastic bottles of 10 ml and 3 x 10 ml.
