Ludwigsluster Ham Hock

More than a hundred years ago, the brothers Hermann and Ernst Schulze bought a small butcher's shop in Ludwigsluster Seminarstraße. Even then, tasty meat and sausage products were produced there, which soon made the company a purveyor to the court of the Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin. In those days, 15 pigs, 1 cow and 4 calves were slaughtered, butchered and processed per week. In the following three decades, production increased almost twentyfold. The following year, 1927, a major fire destroyed almost three quarters of the factory. The factory was quickly rebuilt: Then as now, quality and craftsmanship are the highest values of the company.
