Indications

The indications are derived from the homeopathic medicinal product images. These include: Colds and flu-like infections.

Contraindications

Do not use if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to any of the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients.

Precautions for use

If symptoms worsen or if new, unclear or persistent symptoms occur, a doctor should be consulted, as these may be conditions that require medical clarification. Like all medicines, homeopathic medicines should only be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding after consulting a doctor. There is insufficient documented experience with the use of this medicine in children. It should therefore not be used in children under 1 year of age.

Interactions

The effect of a homeopathic medicine can be adversely affected by generally harmful factors in the lifestyle and by stimulants and luxury foods. Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, even if they are non-prescription medicines.

Warnings

This medicine contains lactose. Therefore, please only take Engystol after consulting your doctor if you know that you suffer from an intolerance to certain sugars. 1 tablet = 0.025 BE.

Dosage and method of administration

Unless otherwise prescribed

Age group	Normal dosage	Acute dosage
Adults and children aged 12 and over	Allow 1 tablet to dissolve in the mouth 3 times a day.	In acute conditions, initially allow 1 tablet to dissolve in the mouth every half to whole hour, up to a maximum of 6 times a day.
School children aged 6 to under 12	In chronic conditions, take 2/3 of a tablet 1 to 3 times a day. Dissolve 1 tablet in approx. 150 ml of water. Give your child 2/3 of the amount and discard the rest.	In acute conditions, take 2/3 of a tablet every half to whole hour, up to a maximum of 6 times a day. Dissolve 1 tablet in approx. 150 ml of water. Give your child 2/3 of the amount and discard the rest.

Duration of treatment

Side effects

Like all medicines, Engystol Tablets can have side effects, although not everybody gets them. Temporary skin reactions (e.g. rash, itching or redness) and gastrointestinal problems (e.g. abdominal pain or discomfort) may occur. The medicine should then be discontinued and the attending physician consulted. Note: When using homeopathic medicines, existing symptoms may temporarily worsen (initial worsening). In this case, you should stop taking the medicine and consult your doctor. Reporting of

Notes on expiry date and storage

The expiry date of this pack is printed on the container and outer packaging. Do not use this pack after this date. Shelf life after opening: 12 months. No special storage conditions are required for this medicine.

Composition

1 tablet contains: Active ingredients: Vincetoxicum hirundinaria Trit. D6 75 mg, Vincetoxicum hirundinaria Trit. D10 75 mg, Vincetoxicum hirundinaria Trit. D30 75 mg, Sulfur Trit. D4 37.5 mg, Sulfur Trit. D10 37.5 mg. Joint potentiation over the last 2 stages. Other ingredient: Magnesium stearate.
