Sicca-Gynaedron Regenerating Vaginal Cream

What is Sicca-Gynaedron regenerating vaginal cream?
Sicca-Gynaedron is a hormone-free, regenerating vaginal cream with 0.8% lactic acid and 2% dexpanthenol. Sicca-Gynaedron is available in a pack with a 50 g tube and an applicator.

How does Sicca-Gynaedron regenerating vaginal cream work?
Hormonal changes, stress, taking antibiotics or contraceptives (such as the pill) can cause vaginal dryness and reduce the number of lactic acid bacteria in the vagina, which leads to an increase in the natural pH value. This can lead to recurrent bacterial vaginosis (mixed infections) or fungal infections with an unpleasant odour.

4 effects contribute to the effect of Sicca-Gynaedron regenerating vaginal cream:
  • Lactic acid lowers and stabilises the pH value, thereby balancing the lactobacilli flora and thus forming a defence system against bacteria and fungi.
  • Dexpanthenol supports the development and physiological function of the skin and mucous membrane. In addition, dexpanthenol treats vaginal dryness due to its water-binding and thus moisturising properties and has an anti-itching, wound-healing and regenerating effect.
  • The hydrocream has a high water content. This restores moisture to the skin in the area of the vagina and the external intimate area, and protects it from drying out and painful cracks.
  • Nourishing lipids (fats) keep the skin and vaginal mucous membrane supple and elastic.
What are the areas of application for Sicca-Gynaedron regenerating vaginal cream?

Prophylactic (preventive)

Sicca-Gynaedron regenerates the vaginal mucous membrane and vaginal flora, stabilises and lowers the vaginal pH value and thus prevents bacterial vaginosis (mixed infection) and fungal infections. Sicca-Gynaedron treats vaginal dryness and thus relieves burning, itching, soreness and pain. Due to its moisturising properties, Sicca-Gynaedron restores moisture to the vaginal mucous membrane and keeps it supple. Sicca-Gynaedron can be used, for example, after or during antibiotic therapy, after swimming, after sexual intercourse, after menstruation, for dry or itchy intimate areas and anus or for skin care.

Therapeutic support

Sicca-Gynaedron supports the treatment of vaginal fungal infections and bacterial infections and can be used alternately with other local therapies (such as intravaginal estriol hormone therapies, eczema therapies). In addition, Sicca-Gynaedron can be applied together with vaginal tablets, such as vagi-C (vitamin C). The regenerating vaginal cream should be applied externally to the intimate area before using vagi-C, especially if there is skin damage and painful cracks.

How do you use Sicca-Gynaedron regenerating vaginal cream?

Intended use Dosage per application Duration of use
Alternating with hormone therapy 3–5 ml 2–3 times per week
Prophylaxis of bacterial vaginosis and maintenance of natural pH balance 3–5 ml Every 3rd day
Symptomatic treatment of vaginal dryness or lactobacilli deficiency 3–5 ml Daily, for 7 days
Maintaining the pH value during or after antibiotic therapy 3–5 ml Daily, for 7 days
Care of the vagina and external intimate area 3–5 ml As needed

Sicca-Gynaedron is suitable for long-term use and can be applied daily until the symptoms have disappeared. The vaginal cream is free of hormones, fragrances and dyes.

How do you apply Sicca-Gynaedron regenerating vaginal cream?
Sicca-Gynaedron is best applied in the evening in a lying position directly into the vagina. With the enclosed and reusable applicator, 3 to 5 ml of vaginal cream can be applied individually.

  1. Before first use, unscrew the tube cap and press it upside down onto the tube opening to pierce the membrane seal.
  2. Unlock the applicator:
    1. 2a) Pull the plunger to the "2 ml" mark.
    2. 2b) Push the plunger back slightly until just before the first stop.
  3. Screw the unlocked applicator (see 2.) onto the tube with the opening up to the bottom of the thread.
  4. Press the regenerating vaginal cream out of the tube into the applicator with light pressure until the desired dosage is reached. If necessary, pull the plunger back slightly with the other hand.
  5. Unscrew the applicator from the tube and close the tube tightly.
  6. In a supine position, insert the filled applicator as deeply as possible into the vagina and squeeze out the regenerating vaginal cream with the plunger.
  7. After use, clean the individual parts of the applicator thoroughly with lukewarm water. Boiling water should be avoided so that the applicator does not deform.
When should you not use Sicca-Gynaedron regenerating vaginal cream?
In case of hypersensitivity to one or more ingredients. No interactions with other medical devices or medicines are known.

When is special care required when using Sicca-Gynaedron regenerating vaginal cream?
An impairment of the safety of condoms (tear resistance) cannot be ruled out.

Can Sicca-Gynaedron regenerating vaginal cream be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Due to the composition and mode of action of Sicca-Gynaedron - the regenerating vaginal cream is not absorbed by the body - there is no risk to the child. Use during pregnancy should be discussed with a doctor, as no scientific studies have been conducted on this.

What side effects can Sicca-Gynaedron regenerating vaginal cream have?
In the case of pre-existing damage to the vaginal mucous membrane, skin irritations such as itching or slight burning may occur, especially at the beginning of use. These symptoms will subside as the vaginal mucous membrane regenerates. If they persist and do not improve, the use of Sicca-Gynaedron should be discontinued and a doctor should be consulted.

Storage and shelf life

Sicca-Gynaedron should be stored between 5°C and 25°C and out of reach of children. After use, close the tube carefully to prevent it from drying out. The screw thread must be kept clean. After opening, the tube can be stored for a period of 12 months.
