Composition

Dicaprylyl carbonate, dimethicone.

Package sizes

Loyon is available in the package sizes 15 ml and 50 ml.

Areas of application

Loyon is used for the gentle physical removal of scales and crusts from the skin, e.g. in psoriasis (psoriasis) or cradle cap/cradle cap.

Mode of action

Due to its special creeping properties, Loyon is able to penetrate under scales and crusts and detach them from the skin. The gentle physical removal of the scales and crusts avoids the bloody tear points that often occur during mechanical removal.

Contraindications

Loyon must not be used if you are known to be hypersensitive to the ingredients. If any allergic reactions occur, Loyon should be discontinued immediately and washed off. Loyon should not be used at the same time as other care and cosmetic products, as there is no experience with this to date.

Warnings

Loyon is for external use only! When using Loyon, you should make sure that the solution does not come into contact with the eyes or mucous membranes and that the spray mist is not inhaled. In case of accidental contact with the eyes, rinse with plenty of water for 10 - 15 minutes. If irritation persists, please contact your doctor. If Loyon is accidentally spilled, there is a risk of slipping. Therefore, remove the solution from these areas immediately.

Side effects

In rare cases, allergic reactions or local irritation may occur.

Instructions for use

Please observe the following instructions to ensure successful use of the product. This package contains two application aids for individual selection - a pipette and a spray attachment. The spray attachment is particularly suitable for self-treatment of hard-to-reach parts of the body and for the treatment of larger skin areas. The pipette should preferably be used to treat infants and toddlers to avoid contact with eyes or mucous membranes and inhalation of the spray mist. It is also particularly suitable for use on the head, as it allows for precise application to the scalp.

Preparation/storage

Place the bottle on a flat surface and have paper towels ready. If you are using the spray attachment, remove the screw cap and screw the spray attachment onto the bottle instead. You can leave it screwed on permanently after use. In this case, the bottle should be stored upright. If you are applying Loyon with the pipette, close the bottle again with the screw cap after use. After use, empty the pipette carefully and wipe it thoroughly with a paper towel. Tip: Store the pipette as upright as possible with the opening facing down until the next use, e.g. in a cup or glass.

Application of Loyon

Loyon is applied directly to dry skin.

1. Apply the solution to the affected areas with the enclosed pipette or spray attachment: Apply Loyon either dropwise to the affected areas with the enclosed pipette or spray Loyon onto the affected areas with the enclosed spray attachment. Distribute the solution by massaging it in gently. The affected areas should be well wetted. Excess solution can be dabbed off with the paper towels provided.
2. Exposure time: Leave the solution on for at least 3 hours. A longer exposure time, e.g. overnight, is also not a problem.
3. Wash off after treatment: After the exposure time, Loyon can be washed off with a mild shampoo or a washing lotion.
4. Duration of use: Depending on the need and severity of the condition, the treatment can be repeated as often as necessary, even several times a day or over a longer period of time. As a rule, once-daily use for 3 to 7 days is sufficient. If the symptoms worsen despite treatment, a doctor should be consulted after one week at the latest.
5. Use in certain patients: Loyon can be used without problems during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Loyon is also suitable for patients with impaired liver or kidney function.

Other information

Loyon can cause stains if it comes into contact with clothing or other sensitive surfaces.

Storage instructions

Do not store above 25°C. Loyon should not be used after the expiry date stated on the packaging. Keep out of reach of children!
