Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Lipocur
Moisturising and protective eye drops with sodium hyaluronate, lipids and taurine

Wetting eye drops for moisturising and protecting the eye surface with hyaluronic acid, lipids and taurine. For intensive moisturising for all forms of dry eyes, including lipid deficiency. Relieves symptoms, regenerates and rebuilds the tear film. Natural protection through taurine. Sterile, phosphate-free solution without preservatives. Soothing, well-tolerated and deep-acting. Suitable for hard and soft contact lenses.

What is Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Lipocur?
Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Lipocur is a sterile, phosphate-free wetting agent in the innovative SafeDrop system, a preservative-free multi-dose container co-developed by OmniVision. It can be optimally applied with the help of the practical wide finger rest. Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Lipocur contains hyaluronic acid, glycerol, lipids and taurine. Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Lipocur supports all three layers of the tear film: the aqueous layer (through hyaluronic acid and glycerol), the lipid layer (through castor oil lipids) and the mucin layer (through the mucoadhesive properties of hyaluronic acid). Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that also occurs in structures of the human eye and in the tear film, and is therefore particularly well-tolerated. It is characterised by a high water-binding capacity and is viscoelastic. In addition, hyaluronic acid adheres well to the eye surface (mucoadhesive properties) and thus increases the residence time. Glycerol is also a body's own substance and an additional moisturising factor. Thanks to these moisturising and moisturising properties, glycerol, in addition to hyaluronic acid, stabilises the aqueous layer of the tear film. Thus, Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Lipocur moistens, wets and protects the eye surface and ensures an even, stable moisture film on the cornea and conjunctiva. The lipids (triglycerides) of castor oil supplement the lipid layer of the tear film, stabilise it and reduce evaporation. Taurine, as another endogenous compound, is the most common amino acid that physiologically occurs in the tear film and in various tissues in the eye, e.g. in the cornea, lens, retina and in the vitreous body. Taurine has osmoregulatory properties, is absorbed into the cells and goes deep. Taurine supports the restoration of the osmotic balance, which is disturbed in dry eyes, and protects the cells of the eye surface from drying out and from oxidative stress. In the therapy of dry eyes, Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Lipocur thus offers moisturisation and evaporation protection and osmoregulation due to the triple combination of moisturisers (hyaluronic acid and glycerol), lipids and the body's own taurine. It can be used for all forms of dry eyes, both for insufficient production of tear fluid (hyposecretory form) and for excessive evaporation of the tear film due to lipid deficiency (hyper-evaporative form). The eye drops are well suited for dry eyes, burning and watery eyes ("paradoxical dry eyes"). They provide moisture, improve the quality of the tear film and protect the eye surface. Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Lipocur relieves symptoms, regenerates and rebuilds the tear film. It offers natural protection through taurine. Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Lipocur is well suited for wetting hard and soft contact lenses. This significantly improves the wearing comfort of the contact lenses.

How is Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Lipocur used?
For external use only.

Step 1

Please document the date of first use in the field provided on the bottle label before first use. Wash your hands and remove the protective cap before each use.

Step 2

Please perform several pressing movements before the first use of the SafeDrop bottle until the first drop is produced. Hold the bottle upside down as shown in the illustration. Please avoid any contact of the dropper tip with your fingers and your eye.

Step 3

Hold the bottle as shown in the picture. Make sure that your thumb rests on the wide, non-slip, round finger rest.

Step 4

Now tilt your head back slightly (neck position) and gently pull the lower eyelid away from the eye with your free hand. Instil one to two drops of Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Lipocur into the conjunctival sac of each eye by pressing the pump mechanism once or twice. Make sure that the bottle is held upright. Slowly close your eyes so that Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Lipocur can spread evenly over the eye surface. Alternatively, if the drops are used in conjunction with contact lenses, apply one to two drops to each contact lens before inserting them into your eyes, instead of putting the drops directly into your eyes. Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Lipocur can also be instilled while wearing contact lenses. After use, close the multi-dose container with the protective cap.

How often and for how long should Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Lipocur be used?
Use Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Lipocur as needed or as directed by your ophthalmologist. Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Lipocur is suitable for long-term use, however, as with all conditions, you should consult an ophthalmologist if symptoms persist. In the case of additional local treatment of the eyes, there should be a time interval of approx. 30 minutes between the two applications. Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Lipocur should be applied after the other products.
