Zinksalbe BW is a wound healing agent. This ointment is used externally to support wound healing, also for weeping or itchy wounds, for chapped skin and as a covering ointment.
2. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE USING THIS MEDICINE
This medicine must not be used if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to zinc oxide or any of the other ingredients of Zinksalbe BW. Special care must be taken when using this medicine if the symptoms described in section 1 worsen. In this case, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
When using this medicine with other medicines
Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, even if they are non-prescription medicines. Dosage and type of application
Unless otherwise prescribed, Zinksalbe BW is applied to the affected skin areas once to several times a day and covered with gauze. The zinc oxide contained in Zinksalbe BW can adhere to the laundry and is then difficult to remove. Therefore, cover the wound area treated with the ointment with a gauze compress, a plaster or a bandage.Duration of use
