Side effects: In very rare cases, temporary ailments may occur, such as conjunctival irritation, foreign body sensation, redness or burning of the eyes and temporarily blurred vision.

Dosage and type of application

Turn the cap counterclockwise before using for the first time until the safety ring breaks off. Unscrew the cap, tilt your head back and hold the dropper over the eye to be treated. Pull down the lower eyelid of the eye with the index finger of one hand. By gently squeezing the bottle, a drop of Vismed light solution is released (see illustrations). Unless otherwise recommended, drop 1-2 drops of Vismed light into the eye as needed. The solution is distributed by blinking and forms a transparent and durable layer of fluid on the surface of the eye. Vismed light can also be used while wearing hard or soft contact lenses.

Precautions

Do not touch the dropper tip of the opened container and do not bring it into contact with the eye. Screw the cap back on after using Vismed light. Do not use damaged Vismed light bottles. Vismed light can be used for a period of 3 months after first use. Any solution not used within 3 months of opening must be discarded. Otherwise, sterility is no longer guaranteed and this can lead to a risk of infection. Store between 2°C and 25°C! Do not use Vismed light after the expiry date stated on the container and folding box. If your symptoms persist while using Vismed light, you should seek medical attention. Keep out of reach of children.

Properties and mode of action

Vismed light contains sodium hyaluronate, a natural polymer that is also found in structures of the human eye. The special physical characteristics of sodium hyaluronate give Vismed light its important viscoelastic and water-binding properties. Vismed light forms a stable layer on the surface of the eye, which is only gradually removed by blinking. Vismed light therefore combines long-lasting effect with maximum comfort. Vismed light is excellently tolerated due to its special composition. A special combination of preservatives guarantees the sterility of Vismed light for a period of 3 months after the bottle is first opened.
