Pharmacotherapeutic group

Herbal medicine for urinary tract infections.

Indications

Internal use for existing and post-injury oedema; to flush the urinary tract and for kidney gravel. External use for the supportive treatment of poorly healing wounds.

Contraindications

When should you not use H&S Schachtelhalmkraut?
None known.

Warning

There is insufficient experience with the use of H&S Schachtelhalmkraut in children under 12 years of age. Therefore, taking H&S Schachtelhalmkraut is not recommended for children under 12 years of age.

Note

No flushing therapy for water retention (oedema) due to impaired heart or kidney function.

Which other medicines affect the effect of H&S Schachtelhalmkraut?

Dosage, type and duration of use

The following information applies unless your doctor has prescribed H&S Schachtelhalmkraut differently. Please follow the instructions for use, otherwise H&S Schachtelhalmkraut will not work properly!

How much and how often should you take H&S Schachtelhalmkraut?
Drink 1 glass/cup of tea 3 times a day.

How and when should you take H&S Schachtelhalmkraut?
1 filter bag for 1 glass/cup. Pour boiling water over it and let it steep for about 10-15 minutes. Remove the filter bag and squeeze it out gently. Drink the freshly prepared tea.

Note

Make sure to drink plenty of additional fluids. For the preparation of compresses, 5 filter bags are used for 1 litre of water.

How long should you take H&S Schachtelhalmkraut?
For acute complaints that last longer than one week or recur periodically, it is recommended to consult a doctor.

The expiry date of this pack is printed on the bottom right. Do not use this pack after this date! Storage instructions: Store in the original packaging to protect the contents from light and moisture. Do not store above 25°C. Medicines - Keep out of reach of children.

100 g tea contains Active ingredients: Schachtelhalmkraut Equiseti herba 100 g.

Dosage form and contents

Original pack with 20 filter bags of 2.0 g herbal tea for drinking and for compresses after preparation of a tea infusion.
