Ingredients

GeloTonsil Gargle Gel contains: Xanthan and sodium hyaluronate.

Purified water, xylitol, dexpanthenol, disodium hydrogen phosphate, citric acid, hydrogen peroxide and sucralose

Field of application

GeloTonsil Gargle Gel is used for the supportive treatment of inflammation of the oral and pharyngeal mucosa. Sore throats and difficulty swallowing are relieved by GeloTonsil Gargle Gel forming a protective film on the irritated pharyngeal mucosa.

Mode of action

GeloTonsil Gargle Gel works physically. When gargling, the viscous gargle gel forms a protective film on the oral and pharyngeal mucosa and moisturises it. Moisturising protects the oral and pharyngeal mucosa from drying out, irritation and external influences that can cause sore throats. The irritated and inflamed pharyngeal mucosa is rinsed by the use of GeloTonsil Gargle Gel, which mechanically removes pathogens from sore throats, especially viruses. The gel-forming ingredients xanthan and hyaluronic acid form a protective gel film on the inflamed mucosa, soothe it and protect it from further external influences. The hyaluronic acid contained in GeloTonsil Gargle Gel increases the moisture retention capacity and strengthens the adhesion of the protective film to the mucous membranes. In addition, dexpanthenol is included as a caring component. Irritated areas can regenerate themselves.

Contraindications and notes

GeloTonsil Gargle Gel must not be used in case of known allergy or hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients. Please do not use GeloTonsil Gargle Gel at the same time as other agents to be used in the mouth and throat. Please only use GeloTonsil Gargle Gel if you can gargle safely. Avoid eye contact. GeloTonsil Gargle Gel does not contain alcohol and is free from animal ingredients.

What should be considered for children?
Do not use in children under 3 years of age. Children aged 3 years and over should only use GeloTonsil Gargle Gel if they can gargle safely.

What do you need to consider during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
GeloTonsil Gargle Gel may be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

What else should be considered for certain patient groups?
GeloTonsil Gargle Gel is sugar-free and suitable for diabetics.

Side effects

No side effects are known for GeloTonsil Gargle Gel.

Type and duration of use

GeloTonsil Gargle Gel is ready to use and is used undiluted for gargling. Use a tablespoon to measure. Gargle with undiluted GeloTonsil Gargle Gel for about 30 seconds. Then spit out GeloTonsil Gargle Gel and do not rinse. Unintentional swallowing of small amounts of GeloTonsil Gargle Gel is harmless.

How often should you use GeloTonsil Gargle Gel?
The recommended amount for gargling is 1 tablespoon (10 - 15 ml) 3 times a day. Avoid eating or drinking for about an hour after use so that the protective film adheres optimally.

How long can you use GeloTonsil Gargle Gel?
GeloTonsil Gargle Gel should be used for several days until the symptoms subside. If your acute symptoms worsen (e.g. fever, swollen throat, aching limbs) or do not improve within 3 days, please consult your doctor.

Notes and information on shelf life

Do not use GeloTonsil Gargle Gel after the expiry date. Please do not use GeloTonsil Gargle Gel for longer than 14 days after opening.

Storage instructions

GeloTonsil Gargle Gel should be stored below 25°C. Store medical devices carefully! Keep out of reach of children!
