Indications

Traditionally used for:

• Flushing therapy for minor ailments of the urinary tract,
• Improvement of minor joint pain.

The medicinal product is a traditional medicinal product that is registered exclusively on the basis of long-term use for the area of application.

Contraindications

When should you not take the medicinal product?
Natural medicinal plant juice nettle must not be taken:

• in case of a known allergy (hypersensitivity) to nettle herb,
• if a reduced fluid intake is recommended (e.g. in case of severe heart or kidney disease),
• in case of water retention (oedema) due to impaired heart and kidney function.

Precautions for use and warnings

What precautions should be taken?
The user should consult a doctor or other qualified healthcare professional if symptoms persist or if side effects other than those mentioned in the package leaflet occur.

Flushing therapy for minor ailments in the urinary tract

If symptoms such as fever, pain when urinating, cramping pain or blood in the urine occur, a doctor should be consulted immediately.

Use for minor joint pain

In acute conditions, e.g. accompanied by redness, swelling or overheating of joints, a doctor should be consulted.

Children and adolescents under 18 years of age

There are no sufficient studies on the use of this medicinal product in children and adolescents under 18 years of age. The medicinal product should therefore not be used in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding

There are no indications of risks during pregnancy and breast-feeding from the widespread use of nettle as a medicinal product. However, there are no sufficient studies on the use of natural medicinal plant juice nettle during pregnancy and breast-feeding. The use of the medicinal product is therefore not recommended.

Interactions with other medicinal products

None known. Interactions with other medicinal products have not been investigated to date.

Dosage, type and duration of use

Dosage and type of use

Adults take 10 ml of press juice 3 times a day, undiluted or with a little liquid, preferably water. Please use the enclosed dosing cup. Shake the bottle before use! Use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age is not intended. When using flushing therapy, ensure sufficient fluid intake throughout the day.

Duration of

Flushing therapy for minor ailments in the urinary tract

Nettle herb preparations are traditionally used over a period of 2 to 4 weeks. If symptoms have not improved after 1 week, a doctor or other qualified healthcare professional should be consulted immediately.

Duration of use for minor joint pain

The medicinal product should not be used for longer than 4 weeks. If symptoms persist for longer than 4 weeks, a doctor or other qualified healthcare professional should be consulted. Please also note the information under "Precautions" and "Side effects".

Errors in use and overdose

If you have taken a larger amount than you should

If you have accidentally taken 1 or 2 single doses (corresponding to 10 ml or 20 ml of press juice) more than intended, this will generally not have any adverse effects. In this case, continue taking the medicine as described in the dosage instructions or as prescribed by your doctor. If you have significantly overdosed on this medicinal product, you should consult a doctor.

Side effects

What side effects are possible?
Mild gastrointestinal complaints (such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea) and hypersensitivity reactions (such as itching, rash and hives) may occur. The frequency is not known. In these cases, stop taking the medicinal product and inform a doctor so that they can decide on the severity and any necessary measures.

Notes

Medicinal products should not be used after the expiry date. The expiry date of this pack is printed on the folding box (bottom flap) and the container.

Note on shelf life
The medicinal product contains no preservatives or alcohol. After opening, store in a refrigerator at 2°C to 8°C for 2 weeks.

Note for diabetics

This medicinal product contains less than 0.1 BE per single dose.

Active ingredient: 100 ml press juice from fresh nettle herb (Urtica dioica L., Urtica urens L.) (1 : 0.55 - 0.82).
