Dear patient! Please read these instructions carefully, because they contain important information about what you should consider when using this medical device. If you have any questions, please contact your doctor or pharmacist.

What does isla mint contain?
1 lozenge contains 80 mg aqueous extract of Icelandic moss (0.4 - 0.8 : 1). Other ingredients: Gum arabic, sorbitol, liquid paraffin, aspartame, chlorophyll-copper complex (colouring agent E 141), peppermint oil, purified water. 1 lozenge contains 392 mg sorbitol (sugar substitute) = 0.031 BE.

When is isla mint used?
The ingredients of isla mint form a soothing layer over the mucous membrane in the throat and pharynx. This protects the irritated mucous membrane from further attacks and allows it to recover more quickly thanks to the beneficial effect, especially in the case of throat problems caused by:

• Irritation and hoarseness,
• heavy strain on the vocal cords (singers, speakers),
• dry air (heated or air-conditioned),
• dry mouth,
• restricted nasal breathing.

When should isla mint not be used?
isla mint must not be used in the case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients contained.

When should caution be exercised when using isla mint?
Please only take isla mint after consulting your doctor if you know that you suffer from an intolerance to certain sugars. If you have phenylketonuria (hereditary metabolic disease), please note that the lozenges contain the sweetener aspartame.

Can isla mint be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
There is no evidence to suggest that isla mint should not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

How do you use isla mint?
Depending on requirements, adults and children aged 4 and over should suck 1-2 lozenges several times a day. In the case of children, it should be ensured that they have already acquired the ability to suck in a controlled manner. Note for diabetics: 1 lozenge contains 392 mg sorbitol (sugar substitute) = 0.031 BE.

How long can you use isla mint for?
If necessary, isla mint can also be used over a longer period of time. If there is no improvement after 10 days of treatment, please consult your doctor or pharmacist.

What undesirable side effects can isla mint have?
Very rarely, a laxative effect can occur when using the product due to the sorbitol content. In isolated cases, hypersensitivity reactions can occur.

What else should be considered?
The expiry date is printed on the folding box and the blister. Do not use this pack after this date. The lozenges should be stored in a dry place and not above 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.

Pack sizes: 30 and 60 lozenges.
