What is hyasan Salinspray?
Hyasan Salinspray is a hypertonic sea salt solution for spraying into the nose. Hypertonic means that the salt content of hyasan Salinspray is higher than normally found in the cells and fluids of the body.

What is hyasan Salinspray used for?
Hyasan Salinspray is used for the natural decongestion of the nasal mucosa.
Hyasan Salinspray has a dual effect:
First, it moistens the nasal mucosa, an effect that is noticeable immediately after application. In addition, the high salt concentration in hyasan Salinspray subsequently draws excess fluid from the nasal mucosa. This is particularly desirable in the case of inflammatory swelling of the nose, as occurs with colds. As a result of the decongestion, free breathing is possible again. Moisturising with hypertonic sea salt solution and the removal of excess tissue fluid also lead to the liquefaction of tough secretion. This means that the healing process in the case of nasal and paranasal sinus infections is natural.

When should hyasan Salinspray be used?

• Hyasan Salinspray is suitable for the natural decongestion of the nasal mucosa.
• In particular, as a result of a cold or flu infection, the mucous membranes of the nose and paranasal sinuses swell up, so that free breathing and the removal of tough secretion are hardly possible.
• Hyasan Salinspray supports the nasal mucosa in its natural function by helping to reduce swelling of the inflamed mucosa and liquefy tough secretion.
• The use of hyasan Salinspray can help to reduce the use of other decongestant nasal sprays (so-called alpha-sympathomimetics).

What is special about hyasan Salinspray?

• Hyasan Salinspray is a pure sea salt solution.
• The healing effects of salt, especially for respiratory tract infections, have been described for centuries.
• High salt concentrations in the air we breathe, such as those found in the immediate vicinity of the sea or in salt mines, are still successfully used therapeutically today.
• Hyasan Salinspray uses these known properties by creating a high salt concentration locally - at the site of the inflammatory processes in the nose.
• Decongestion and cleansing of the nose quickly lead to an improvement in symptoms.
• Hyasan Salinspray contains no preservatives or propellants.

Who should not use hyasan Salinspray?
Please do not use hyasan Salinspray if you experience hypersensitivity reactions (e.g. itching, redness). In general, such symptoms disappear quickly after discontinuing use. Hyasan Salinspray should not be used in children under 1 year of age.

How to use hyasan Salinspray?

• Only use hyasan Salinspray if the seal on the folding box was intact before first use.
• Remove the cap before each use.
• Press the pump until the solution comes out (usually 1-2 times).
• The system is then ready for use for each further application.
• Insert the spray nozzle into the nostril and pump once, inhaling slightly.
• Spray 1-2 sprays into each nostril several times a day as needed.
• For hygienic reasons, please wipe the nasal adapter after each use and close it with the protective cap.

Note on use

For hygienic reasons and to avoid possible transmission of infection, each spray should only be used by one person. For this reason, it is also advisable to wipe the spray nozzle after use and keep it dry.

What other instructions for use should be observed?

• In the event of additional other medicinal treatment with nasal spray or nasal drops, a time interval of at least 30 minutes should be observed.
• Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure whether and how you can combine several preparations for use in the nose.
• Due to its preservative-free nature, hyasan Salinspray is particularly well tolerated even with long-term use. You can therefore use it without hesitation for a longer period of time.
• Based on the available evidence, hyasan Salinspray can also be used in children over 1 year of age and in pregnant and breastfeeding women.
