Active ingredient: Aqueous extract of gentian root, ginger root, calamus root, peppercorns and wormwood
Composition
10 g (= 8.5 ml) contain: Aqueous extract of 0.2165 g gentian root, 0.133 g ginger root, 0.02 g calamus root, 0.004 g peppercorns and 0.1665 g wormwood 6 g. Other ingredient: Sucrose. Contains sucrose (sucrose/sugar).Indications

BITTER Elixir must not be used:- in case of known hypersensitivity to ginger and pepper.
- in case of stomach and intestinal ulcers.
- during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Precautions for use and warnings
There is not enough documented experience with the use of this medicine in infants. It should therefore not be used in children under 6 years of age. This medicine contains sucrose. Please only take Bitter Elixir after consulting your doctor if you know that you suffer from an intolerance to certain sugars. 1 tablespoon (15 ml) contains 7 g sucrose (sugar). You should take this into account if you are on a diabetic diet. Bitter Elixir can be harmful to teeth (caries).Dosage and method of administration
Unless otherwise prescribed:- Children from 6 to under 12 years of age: Take 1 teaspoon of Bitter Elixir 1 to 3 times a day, undiluted or diluted with water before meals.
- Adults and children aged 12 and over: Take 1 tablespoon of syrup 1 to 3 times a day, possibly diluted with water, before meals.
Duration of use
Treatment should be completed after 5 days. If there is no improvement within this period, a doctor should be consulted.Side effects
