Bepanthen Cooling Foam Spray

What is Bepanthen Cooling Foam Spray, and when is it used?
Bepanthen Cooling Foam Spray is a white, light foam film in the form of a modern nanoemulsion for application to minor burns and mild sunburn. The foam film does not need to be massaged into the skin, but is absorbed on its own and therefore allows painless application.

Use Bepanthen Cooling Foam Spray for:

• minor burns, e.g. from hot water, hot steam or hot objects.
• mild sunburn from excessive or prolonged exposure to the sun.

Bepanthen Cooling Foam Spray has a cooling effect and provides the skin with long-lasting moisture in the case of minor burns and mild sunburn. This has a soothing and relieving effect on the irritated skin.

What is meant by minor burns/sunburn, and how are they treated?
Minor burns and mild sunburn are so-called first-degree burns (superficial burns) that affect only the top layer of the skin (epidermis) and do not form blisters. Minor burns - for example from hot water, hot steam or hot objects - as well as mild sunburn as a result of excessive or prolonged exposure to the sun are accompanied by the typical signs of inflammation (heat, redness and swelling of the skin). The damaged area of skin is painful and feels dry and tight. Immediate cooling of burns prevents further cell damage and is therefore very important. Cooling also has a pain-relieving effect. Supplying the skin with moisture supports the natural healing process and relieves skin irritation.

How does Bepanthen Cooling Foam Spray work?
Skin damaged by burns needs cooling and moisture. Bepanthen Cooling Foam Spray has been specifically developed to cool the skin immediately after minor burns and to provide it with long-lasting moisture. The immediate cooling effect is achieved by the rapid evaporation of water from the foam film on the skin's surface. Thanks to the innovative Nanosorb technology used in Bepanthen Cooling Foam Spray, the ingredients are provided in the form of tiny droplets (in the nano range) that improve and intensify contact with the skin. This enables rapid absorption of moisture by the skin. The cooling and moisturising effect has a soothing effect on minor burns and mild sunburn and reduces the unpleasant feeling of tightness in the skin. The nanoemulsion also contains physiological skin fats (e.g. lecithin) and dexpanthenol. They form a moisturising environment on the damaged skin barrier and thus support the natural healing process.

How do you use Bepanthen Cooling Foam Spray?

For minor burns

Cool the burn immediately under running cold water. Then apply Bepanthen Cooling Foam Spray as follows: Shake the can well. Hold the can upright to spray. Spray the affected area of skin from a distance of about 5 cm until it is completely covered with a light, white foam film. Wait a few minutes until the foam film has dissolved (it does not need to be massaged into the skin). Repeat the application if necessary. If the burn remains red for several days or the condition worsens, please consult your doctor.

For mild sunburn

Shake the can well. Hold the can upright to spray. Spray the affected area of skin from a distance of about 5 cm until it is completely covered with a light, white foam film. Wait a few minutes until the foam film has dissolved (it does not need to be massaged into the skin). Repeat the application if necessary. If the skin remains red for several days or the condition worsens, please consult your doctor.

When should Bepanthen Cooling Foam Spray not be used?
If you are hypersensitive to one or more of the ingredients of Bepanthen Cooling Foam Spray or if you react with hypersensitivity during use, you should not use the product. It is often difficult to correctly assess sunburn in infants and toddlers. We recommend that you consult a doctor in such cases.

What do you need to consider during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
Bepanthen Cooling Foam Spray may be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. However, during this time we recommend that you consult a doctor in the case of large-area burns.

What else should be considered?
Container is under pressure. May burst if heated. Protect from sunlight or temperatures above 50°C. Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames, hot surfaces. No smoking. Do not pierce or burn, even after use. Contains 2.2 mass percent flammable ingredients. Store between 2°C and 25°C. Do not apply to mucous membranes or open wounds. When using on the face, do not spray into eyes, nose, mouth or ears. In case of contact with eyes, open wounds or mucous membranes: rinse briefly with clear water. Do not ingest or inhale. For external use only. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use Bepanthen Cooling Foam Spray after the expiry date.

What is contained in Bepanthen Cooling Foam Spray?
Aqua, Dexpanthenol, Capryl/Capramidopropyl Betaine, Isopentane, Phenoxyethanol, Phosphatidylcholine, Alcohol, Isobutane, Sodium phosphate, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Oleate, Disodium phosphate. Propellant: Nitrogen (inert gas).
