Tussamag Cough Syrup N sugar-free is a herbal medicine for colds of the respiratory tract. Tussamag Cough Syrup N sugar-free is used to improve symptoms in colds of the respiratory tract with viscous mucus and to improve symptoms in acute bronchitis.
2. WHAT SHOULD YOU CONSIDER BEFORE TAKING TUSSAMAG COUGH SYRUP N SUGAR-FREE?
Tussamag Cough Syrup N sugar-free must not be taken if you are allergic to thyme, other Lamiaceae (Labiatae), birch, mugwort, celery or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6.
Warnings and precautions
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Tussamag Cough Syrup N sugar-free if your symptoms persist for more than a week or if you experience shortness of breath, fever or even purulent or bloody sputum, you must see a doctor.Effects in case of misuse for doping purposes

Tussamag Cough Syrup N sugar-free contains 4% alcohol by volume. If the dosage instructions are followed, each dose will contain 0.32 g of alcohol for children aged 1 - 5 years, 0.47 g of alcohol for children aged 6 - 11 years and up to 0.95 g of alcohol for adolescents aged 12 years and adults. A health risk exists, among others, for people with liver disease, alcoholics, epileptics, patients with organic brain disease, pregnant women and breast-feeding mothers. The effect of other medicines may be impaired or enhanced. This medicine contains sorbitol. Please only take Tussamag Cough Syrup N sugar-free after consulting your doctor if you are known to suffer from an intolerance to certain sugars. 25 ml of liquid contain 7.55 g of sorbitol (equivalent to 1.89 g of fructose) corresponding to approx. 0.63 bread units (BE). The calorific value is 2.6 kcal/g sorbitol. Sorbitol can have a mild laxative effect.3. HOW TO TAKE TUSSAMAG COUGH SYRUP N SUGAR-FREE?
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this package leaflet or exactly as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the recommended dose is:
- Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over: 20–30 ml* 3–4 times a day
- School children aged 6 – 11 years: 15 ml* 3 times a day
- Toddlers aged 1 – 5 years: 10 ml* 2–3 times a day
Tussamag Cough Syrup N sugar-free can be taken undiluted. The duration of use depends on the course of the disease and should be determined by the doctor. In any case, please observe the information under 2. "What should you consider before taking Tussamag Cough Syrup N sugar-free?" as well as the information under 4. "What side effects are possible". Do not take Tussamag Cough Syrup N sugar-free for longer than 1 week without medical advice.

4. WHAT SIDE EFFECTS ARE POSSIBLE?
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Occasionally (may affect up to 1 in 100 people)
Gastrointestinal complaints such as cramps, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea.Very rarely (may affect up to 1 in 10,000 people)
Hypersensitivity reactions, such as shortness of breath, skin rashes, hives and swelling of the face, mouth and/or throat.If side effects occur, the preparation should be discontinued and a doctor consulted. They can decide on the severity and any further measures that may be necessary. At the first signs of a hypersensitivity reaction, Tussamag Cough Syrup N sugar-free must not be taken again.

Keep this medicine out of the reach of children. Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton and label after "Use by". The expiry date refers to the last day of the month indicated. Unopened: This medicinal product does not require any special storage conditions. After opening: Do not store above 25°C after opening. The shelf life after opening is 12 months.

The active ingredient is: Thyme herb fluid extract. 100 g (equivalent to 85.47 ml) of liquid contain 9.0 g of fluid extract from thyme herb (1:2 - 2.5), extraction agent: 10% ammonia solution (m/m), glycerol 85%, ethanol 90% (v/v), water (1:20:70:109).
