Description
Tuna in brine
A classic in the pantry: tuna in a can, preserved in sunflower oil. Whether snacked on pure from the can or processed in delicious recipes: the tuna convinces with its taste and excellent nutritional values!
Fish is a matter of trust – tuna from our own catch and processing
The type of tuna we use for our canned food is called skipjack or real bonito (Latin: Katsuwonus pelamis). It lives mainly in tropical and subtropical seas. Our tuna comes from a sustainable MSC-certified fishery around Madagascar. There it is caught with ships from our own fleet. When it comes to tuna, we rely entirely on our own know-how: it is caught responsibly with our own ships from MSC-certified stocks in the Indian Ocean, then goes directly to our processing plant in the port of Diego-Suarez in Madagascar and then on to Bremerhaven and to your home as quickly as possible.
