Not every piece of meat makes it into our shop. We have numerous requirements for our suppliers and place great emphasis on the origin, animal husbandry, and quality of our products. Before the meat reaches you, there are several things on our agenda: 

 

1. We also prefer to buy regionally ourselves. Therefore, our focus is on medium-sized companies from the surrounding area.
 

2. We know exactly where an animal comes from, and we don't want to withhold that information from you. You can find all the information directly in the respective product description.
 

3. We visit all businesses directly before deciding to collaborate. We gladly take this time!
 

4. We greatly value our suppliers. A partnership relationship with them and mutual trust are essential.
 

5. For minced meat, we pay special attention to artisanal production: industrial goods from conventional factory farming do not make it into our bags.
 

6. Our poultry comes exclusively from medium-sized companies with primarily GQB, organic, or Label Rouge certifications.

…and you can order these from us anytime. Even though we don't have a sea nearby, we want to offer you the best & freshest fish. Therefore, it is particularly important for us to constantly check the origin, freshness, and quality:

 

1. We are in direct contact with fish farms and know exactly from whom we source our products.
 

2. The processing of the fish takes place immediately after arrival at the warehouse.

 

3. The products are packaged by our supplier themselves and in a hygienically safe manner.
 

4. The cold chain is maintained from the beginning and is not interrupted until it reaches your home.

 

 

We stay cool

 

Any goods that arrive with us and require refrigeration, such as meat and fish, are kept cool throughout: from production to your door. We store the goods in our special cold storage, where the temperature is a maximum of 2°C. Upon receipt of goods, we immediately check the best-before date, as it is important to us that you have enough time to use the product. Please keep in mind – for super fresh goods like minced meat, the remaining shelf life is 1-2 days, as the products are simply very fresh and we cannot guarantee high quality after further days. Finally, we carefully pack the products into your shopping bag, load them into our Knuspr van, and look forward to delivering them to your home as quickly as possible.
