Our fruit buyer Carlos knows the growing area personally and is in regular contact with Juan to bring the best fruits to your shopping cart.

Meanwhile, Juan's son Sebastian runs the family business, which can look back on 30 years of experience in fruit growing. The Matas family's growing area is located in the eastern plains of Colombia. The family business is GRASP certified and the particularly high-quality fruits are equipped with the Global GAP seal.

Tropical fruits behave differently during the ripening process compared to our local fruits. The skin begins to "wrinkle" and some varieties develop slight spots. This might not look fresh to our untrained eye. However, it is precisely at this stage that the fruits are particularly ripe and flavorful. The more wrinkled, the sweeter!

So don't be alarmed if your fruits don't have a Hollywood appearance a few days after delivery. We are all about authenticity. And beauty, as is well known, comes from within.

You should store tropical fruits after the Knuspr delivery at room temperature and not in the refrigerator. After all, they are exotic and don't like the cold.
