The Polpuva family business, founded by Emidio Mercuri and continued by his son Giovanni, has been cultivating grapes organically for many years to produce first-class grape juices.

The Demeter grapes for Voelkel's Merlot Red Grape Juice are juiced directly in the growing region, which stretches from the foot of the Abruzzo mountains to the southern Marche. This region has a particularly mild climate, which provides the best conditions for wonderful, single-varietal Chardonnay and Merlot grape juices.

Voelkel was founded in the 1920s. Back then, with a mobile juice press and the desire to live a free life in the countryside. Today we are the largest natural juice producer in Germany.

Regionality and fair, future-oriented agriculture are particularly important to us. That's why we are committed to seed-resistant varieties as well as the preservation of traditional orchards and biodiversity.
