Description
The young Roman or romaine lettuce originally comes from Southern Europe, but owes its international success primarily to the American dish "Caesar Salad".
The light green, crisp leaves have a pleasantly spicy, fresh taste. In addition to various salad variations, it is also used in Southern Europe for stews, casseroles and pan dishes.
