The Organic Wiesenmilch Emmentaler is a traditional hard cheese made from pasteurised organic mountain farm milk, produced in the picturesque region of the southern side of the Alps. The cheese is characterised by a minimum six-month maturation period with selected surface ripening cultures, which give it its characteristically full-bodied flavour. This Emmentaler harmonises excellently with strong red wines and is an indispensable part of any Carinthian snack. It is low in lactose and contains important nutrients such as protein and calcium, making it a healthy and tasty part of a balanced diet​.
