1. WHAT IS ILON SALBE CLASSIC AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR?

ilon Salbe classic is a traditional herbal medicinal product for the treatment of mild, locally limited, purulent inflammations of the skin, such as pustules, inflamed hair follicles and sweat gland inflammations. ilon Salbe classic is a traditional herbal medicinal product that is registered exclusively on the basis of long-standing use for the area of application.

2. WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE USING ILON SALBE CLASSIC?

When should you not use ilon Salbe classic?
You should not use ilon Salbe classic if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to larch turpentine, turpentine oil, eucalyptus oil or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Warnings and precautions

If the skin inflammation worsens (increased redness, swelling or pain) or the general condition worsens, or if there is no improvement after 3 days, a doctor should be consulted. ilon Salbe classic must not be brought into contact with the eyes. ilon Salbe classic should not be used to treat fresh wounds and skin rashes. Wash hands thoroughly after using the ointment.

Important information about certain other ingredients of ilon Salbe classic

Butylhydroxytoluene can cause local skin irritation (e.g. contact dermatitis), irritation of the eyes and mucous membranes.

Children

Due to insufficient studies and data, use in children under 12 years of age is not recommended.

Use of ilon Salbe classic together with other medicines

Studies with ilon Salbe classic on interactions with other medicines have not been carried out. Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using or have recently taken/used any other medicines, even if they are non-prescription medicines.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding

Safety during pregnancy and breast-feeding has not been sufficiently studied. Use during pregnancy and breast-feeding is not recommended.

Driving and using machines

No special precautions are required.

3. HOW TO USE ILON SALBE CLASSIC?

Always use ilon Salbe classic exactly as described in this package leaflet. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. The use of ilon Salbe classic must be limited to the areas of application described at the beginning. ilon Salbe classic should not be used to treat fresh wounds and skin rashes.

Type of application

Before applying ilon Salbe classic, the site of inflammation should be cleaned carefully, preferably with alcohol or another disinfectant. Any pressure should be avoided. Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over apply a 2-3 cm long strip of ilon Salbe classic ointment to the inflammation, depending on the size of the inflamed tissue area, and cover it with a dressing. The dressing should be changed daily. Use is not recommended for children under 12 years of age.

Duration of use

Use of ilon Salbe classic for at least 3 days may be necessary to achieve sufficient treatment success. If symptoms persist or if side effects other than those mentioned in the package leaflet occur, consult a doctor or other qualified healthcare professional. Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of ilon Salbe classic is too strong or too weak.

If you have used more ilon Salbe classic than you should

In case of overdose, please contact your doctor.

If you forget to use ilon Salbe classic

Do not use a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.

If you stop using ilon Salbe classic

Discontinuing ilon Salbe classic is generally harmless.

If you have any further questions on the use of this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

4. WHAT SIDE EFFECTS ARE POSSIBLE?

Like all medicines, ilon Salbe classic can have side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Possible side effects

Allergic reactions may occur. The frequency cannot be estimated from the available data.

If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. This also applies to side effects not listed in this package leaflet. 5. HOW TO STORE ILON SALBE CLASSIC?

Keep medicines out of the reach of children. ilon Salbe classic must not be used after the expiry date which is stated on the packaging and tube. Storage conditions: No special storage conditions are required for this medicine. Shelf life after opening: 5 months.

What ilon Salbe classic contains

The active ingredients are: 1 g of ointment contains: Larch turpentine 54 mg, turpentine oil from the maritime pine type 72 mg, eucalyptus oil 12 mg. The other ingredients are: White petrolatum, yellow wax, stearic acid, oleic acid, polysorbate 20, rosemary oil, thyme oil, thymol, chlorophyll-copper complex (E141), butylhydroxytoluene (E321).

ilon Salbe classic is a green ointment. ilon Salbe classic is available in tubes containing 25 g, 50 g and 100 g of ointment.
