How much blood do I need for the OneTouch Select Plus Test Strip?
At least 1.0 µl of blood is required for the OneTouch Select Plus Test Strips.

How do I apply blood to the OneTouch Select Plus Test Strip?

• Hold your outstretched finger still and move the blood glucose meter with the test strip towards the drop of blood.
• Carefully touch the channel with the edge of the drop of blood.
• Wait until the confirmation window is completely filled. The drop of blood is drawn into the narrow channel and the confirmation window should fill completely.

How should I store my OneTouch Select Plus Test Strips?

• Store the test strips in a cool, dry place between 5°C and 30°C.
• Do not perform tests if condensation has formed on your meter. Find a cool, dry place for your blood glucose meter and test strips and wait until the surface of the blood glucose meter is dry again before testing.
• Do not open the test strip vial until you are ready to remove a test strip and perform a measurement. Use the test strip immediately after removing it from the vial, especially in environments with high humidity.
• Be sure to close the cap of the vial tightly immediately after removing a test strip to avoid contamination and damage.
• Store test strips only in the original vial.
• Do not put the used test strip back into the vial after a measurement.
• Never use a test strip that has already had blood or control solution applied to it. Test strips are intended for single use only.
• Do not use bent or damaged test strips for testing.
• You can touch the test strip anywhere with clean, dry hands. Do not bend, cut or alter the test strip in any way.
• Note the discard date on the label when you first open a new test strip vial. Information on how to determine the discard date can be found in the test strip package insert or on the vial label.
