Description

Hylo-Vision SafeDrop 0.1% is a sterile, preservative-free wetting agent in the innovative SafeDrop bottle, a preservative-free multi-dose container co-developed by OmniVision. It is used for improved moistening of the ocular surface and is suitable for wetting contact lenses of all types. Hylo-Vision SafeDrop 0.1% contains hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that is also present in the structures of the human eye and in the tear film. This makes Hylo-Vision SafeDrop 0.1% particularly well tolerated. It protects and moisturises the surface of the eye and makes it smooth. This provides long-lasting relief from symptoms of dryness, irritation and minor irritations, especially

• in the case of environmental stress, e.g. due to air conditioning, wind, cold, dryness or air pollution, for example from cigarette smoke or
• in the case of tiredness and visual stress due to intensive vision, e.g. on computer screens, microscopes or long car journeys or
• in the case of mechanical stress, e.g. due to wearing hard or soft contact lenses or due to diagnostic procedures on the eye.

Application

Remove the protective cap before each use. Please perform several pressing movements before using the SafeDrop bottle for the first time, until the first drop is produced. Hold the bottle upside down as shown in the illustration. Please avoid any contact between the dropper tip and your fingers or eye. Hold the bottle as shown in the illustration. Make sure that your thumb is resting on the wide, non-slip, round finger rest. Tilt your head back, pull down your lower eyelid with your free hand. If necessary, instil one to two drops of Hylo-Vision SafeDrop 0.1% into the open conjunctival sac by pressing the pump mechanism once or twice. Make sure that the bottle is held vertically. Slowly close your eyes so that the Hylo-Vision SafeDrop 0.1% solution can spread evenly over the surface of the eye. Alternatively, if the drops are being used in conjunction with contact lenses, apply one or two drops to each contact lens before inserting them into your eyes, instead of putting the drops directly into your eyes. For external use only.

Composition

Sodium hyaluronate (0.10%), sorbitol, sodium citrate, sodium chloride, citric acid, purified water.

Pack size

Sales unit: SafeDrop multi-dose container with 10 ml and 2 x 10 ml (sample with 5 ml).

Precautions and warnings:

• Do not use if the SafeDrop multi-dose container is damaged.
• Do not touch the eye with the dropper tip to avoid infections or injuries to the eye.
• Do not use if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.
• If you are receiving additional local treatment for your eyes, there should be an interval of approximately 30 minutes between the two applications.
• Do not use if you suspect an eye infection or if you have an existing eye infection.
• Your vision may be temporarily impaired after use; in this case, do not drive, operate machinery or wait until your normal vision has returned.
• Do not use the eye drops after the expiry date. This is stated on each SafeDrop bottle and on the outer packaging.
• If your symptoms persist while using Hylo–Vision SafeDrop 0.1%, please consult your ophthalmologist.

Storage

Protect from frost. Do not store above 25 °C.

Shelf life

Information on the batch number and expiry date is given on the SafeDrop bottle and on the outer packaging. Can be used for six months after opening.
