When is it used?
Xailin Gel is used as a lubricant and protectant for the eye in certain eye conditions and for long-lasting relief from dry eyes. Xailin Gel provides a cooling and soothing relief from the symptoms of "dry eye" such as burning, irritation or a gritty feeling. Dry eye symptoms occur due to disturbances of the ocular surface. These can have various causes, if the normal tears are of poor quality or tear production is too low to keep the eye sufficiently moist. Xailin Gel is suitable for contact lens wearers, but the lenses should be removed before use.

Type of application

The usual dose is one drop, 2 to 4 times daily as needed, or as directed by your doctor, who may recommend a different application. No dosage adjustment is required in children. Before using a new tube of Xailin Gel, please check the safety ring for its integrity. If you are not sure how to use Xailin Gel, or if your eye problems persist, contact your doctor, pharmacist or optician.

Warnings and precautions:

• Do not use if the safety ring is damaged.
• Do not use if you are allergic to the product.
• Do not touch the tip of the tube with your eye or any surface.
• Do not share Xailin Gel with another person.
• Xailin Gel may cause temporary mild burning and/or blurred vision after application. Wait until you can see clearly again before driving a vehicle or operating machinery.
• Do not use after the expiry date stated on the carton or tube fold.
• Store between 1°C and 25°C.
• Discard contents 28 days after opening.
• Keep out of reach and sight of children.
• For external use on the eye only, do not swallow.
• If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or have recently undergone an ophthalmic procedure, ask your doctor, pharmacist or optician for advice before using Xailin Gel.
• Dispose of the opened tube in accordance with local disposal regulations.

Xailin Gel contains Carbomer 2 mg/g, Sodium perborate and excipients.

Xailin Gel contains a dissolving preservative that breaks down into water and oxygen upon contact with your eye. This minimises the irritation that can be caused by traditional preservatives, yet maintains the convenience of a multi-dose system. All you feel is the cooling and soothing relief of the gel.
