What is Linicin Lotion?
Linicin Lotion eliminates head lice and prevents the development of nits (lice eggs). It can be used on adults and children from 6 months of age. It can also be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Linicin Lotion is easy to use and works within 15 minutes. It is a non-toxic and very mild lotion with ingredients that are also used in cosmetics and ointments for children. Linicin Lotion has not been tested on animals. Head lice cannot develop resistance to Linicin Lotion because Linicin Lotion does not contain insecticides, but suffocates the lice.

Linicin Lotion contains

Dimethicone, tocopheryl acetate (Vitamin E), prunus dulcis (almond oil), prunus armeniaca (apricot kernel oil).

What are head lice?
Head lice are wingless, blood-sucking insects. These parasites feed on human blood. Head lice and nits (lice eggs) are often found behind the ears, along the hairline and on the neck, as these areas are warm and dark. The colour of a louse can vary from sand-coloured to almost black. After they have sucked blood, they turn dark red. An adult louse is 24 mm long. The nits are barely 1 mm in size and are white. They can resemble grains of sand or dandruff and are often found at the hairline. There are 3 stages in the life of a head louse: the nit, the nymph and the adult. The adult female louse lays the nits on the hair using an adhesive no more than 1 mm from the scalp. The nits stick to the hair. This means that the longer the hair, the further away from the scalp the louse is. After a maximum of 10 days, the nymph hatches from the nit. After a further maximum of 12 days, the nymph becomes an adult louse. The entire life cycle from nit to adult louse takes about 3 weeks. Head lice are transmitted through direct contact and are usually passed on between children at play. Caps, scarves, brushes and similar utensils can also contribute to the spread if they are used by different children within a short period of time.

How is Linicin Lotion used?
Follow the instructions carefully to get rid of the lice infestation safely.

1. Treat dry hair only with Linicin Lotion
First, place a light towel over the shoulders of the person to be treated. Unscrew the small screw cap from the tip of the applicator bottle. Use the tip of the bottle to spread the lotion evenly over the entire scalp. Work from the forehead to the crown. Continue by stroking from the crown to the ears and from the crown to the neck. Rub the Linicin Lotion carefully into the scalp and all of the hair. Use plenty of Linicin Lotion to cover all of the hair from the scalp to the ends. The amount required depends on the hair type and length. Treating average shoulder-length hair requires about 3050 ml of lotion.

2. Leave the Linicin Lotion in the hair for 15 minutes.
During this time, the lice die. The nits are inhibited in their development, so that most of them do not hatch. The dead nits remain stuck to the hair.

3. Wash the Linicin Lotion out with a commercial shampoo
Use sufficient shampoo without water and rub it into the hair. Then rinse the hair thoroughly with water. If necessary, repeat this step again to avoid the impression of greasy hair. For long hair, it is advisable to use a hair conditioner to make combing easier.

4. Comb the damp hair carefully
Use the enclosed lice comb to comb out the dead lice. Comb each section of hair systematically. Pay attention to good lighting when combing, e.g. daylight. Rinse or wipe the comb well after each stroke to remove dead lice and nits. The dead nits should be removed from the hair by hand.

5. Repeat the treatment after 9-10 days
Repeat steps 1 - 4 after 9 - 10 days to remove newly hatched lice. This allows the life cycle of the head lice to be completely interrupted, which is very important for successful treatment. Linicin Lotion prevents the development of nits.

Important notes
o If other family members are infested with head lice, they should also be treated with Linicin Lotion on the same day to prevent re-infestation. Use the lice comb to check the hair of other family members for lice.
o If re-infestation occurs between the first and second treatments (e.g. through direct contact with people who are infested with lice), treat with Linicin Lotion immediately. Repeat this after 9 - 10 days. The product can be used safely several times.
o Linicin Lotion can be used by adults and children from 6 months of age and during pregnancy and breastfeeding
o Linicin Lotion can cause mild eye irritation. Therefore, avoid any eye contact. If this does happen, rinse thoroughly with water.
o Linicin Lotion should not be used by people who are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients. If you are unsure, try a small amount of Linicin Lotion on a small area of skin before using it for the first time.
o If you notice a hypersensitivity or allergic reaction, or an unforeseen side effect, stop using it immediately and consult a doctor.
o Keep hair away from open flames, cigarettes or other sources of ignition.
o If Linicin Lotion is spilled on the floor or other surfaces, there is a risk of slipping.
o For external use only.
o Do not use Linicin Lotion after the expiry date.
