Moisturising and protective eye drops with sodium hyaluronate 0.15%

Moisturising eye drops for moisturising the eye surface with hyaluronic acid and eyebright. For relief and soothing of irritated, tired or dry eyes, caused by general environmental influences, computer work or wearing contact lenses. Sterile, phosphate-free solution without preservatives. Suitable for hard and soft contact lenses.

What is Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Vital?
Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Vital is a sterile, phosphate-free wetting agent in the innovative Safe-Drop system, a preservative-free multi-dose container co-developed by OmniVision. It can be optimally applied with the help of the practical wide finger rest. Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Vital contains hyaluronic acid and eyebright tincture and is used to wet and moisturise the surface of the eye. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that also occurs in the structures of the human eye and in the tear film, and is therefore particularly well tolerated. It is characterised by a high water-binding capacity, adheres well to the surface of the eye (mucoadhesive properties) and is viscoelastic. Extracts from eyebright have, among other things, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties: they have been used in traditional medicine since the Middle Ages to relieve symptoms such as conjunctival and eyelid irritation, but also watery eyes. Thus, Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Vital moistens, wets and protects the surface of the eye. Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Vital eye drops bring relief and soothe irritated or dry eyes. The eye drops are also well suited for wetting contact lenses. This significantly improves the wearing comfort of the contact lenses.

Composition
Sodium hyaluronate (0.15%), eyebright tincture (0.05%), sodium chloride, sodium citrate dihydrate, citric acid monohydrate, purified water.

Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Vital can be used for the following indications:

• for irritated or dry eyes caused by wearing contact lenses.
• for fatigue.
• for prolonged computer work.
• when staying in smoky rooms.
• when exposed to general environmental influences, such as dust particles, pollen, etc.

When should Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Vital not be used?
In case of existing hypersensitivity (allergy) to any of the ingredients.

Who is Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Vital suitable for?
Suitable for use in adolescents and adults. Pregnant women, breastfeeding women and infants should consult their doctor before using Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Vital.

What side effects can occur when using Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Vital?
After application, a temporary impairment of visual acuity (blurred vision) may occur. In this case, no vehicle should be driven and no machinery should be operated. It is advisable to wait until normal visual acuity has returned. Immediately after instillation, temporary symptoms, e.g. slight burning of the eyes, may occur.

What precautions and warnings should be observed?
Do not use the bottle if it is damaged. Check that the bottle is intact before opening it for the first time to ensure the sterility of the contents. To avoid contamination, do not touch the dropper tip. Take care not to touch the eye with the dropper to avoid injury or eye infection. The dropper tip of the multi-dose container must not come into contact with other objects or parts of the body. Close after use. Do not ingest solution. Do not use alone to treat an eye infection. The same multi-dose container must not be used by several patients. Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Vital is not suitable as a storage solution for contact lenses. If symptoms persist or worsen, consult a specialist/specialist. Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Vital should be kept out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date.

How is Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Vital used?
For external use only. Wash and dry hands before use.

Step 1

Please document the date of first use in the space provided on the bottle label before first use. Remove the protective cap before each use.

Step 2

Please perform several pressing movements before using the SafeDrop bottle for the first time until the first drop is produced. Hold the bottle upside down as shown in the illustration. Please avoid any contact of the dropper tip with your fingers and eyes.

Step 3

Hold the bottle as shown in the picture. Make sure that your thumb rests on the wide, non-slip, round finger rest.

Step 4

Now tilt your head back slightly (neck position) and gently pull the lower eyelid away from the eye with your free hand. Instil one to two drops of Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Vital into the conjunctival sac of each eye by pressing the pump mechanism once or twice. Make sure that the bottle is held upright. Slowly close your eyes so that Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Vital can spread evenly over the surface of the eye. Alternatively, if the drops are used in conjunction with contact lenses, apply one to two drops to each contact lens before inserting them into your eyes, rather than putting the drops directly into your eyes. Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Vital can also be instilled while wearing contact lenses. After use, close the multi-dose container with the protective cap.

How often and for how long should Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Vital be used?
Use Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Vital as needed or as directed by your doctor. Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Vital is suitable for long-term use, however, as with all conditions, you should consult an ophthalmologist if symptoms persist. In the case of additional local treatment of the eyes, there should be a time interval of approx. 30 minutes between the two applications. Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Vital should be applied after the other products. If necessary, instil 1 - 2 drops into the conjunctival sac of each eye and distribute by blinking.

The following pack sizes are available

Eye drops in 10 ml SafeDrop multi-dose containers. Eye drops in 5 ml SafeDrop multi-dose containers. It is possible that not all pack sizes are on the market.

What storage and disposal instructions should be observed?
Store at 5°C to 25°C. Protect from frost and direct sunlight.

Information on the lot number and expiry date can be found on the bottle and on the folding box. After opening the bottle, Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Vital can be used for six months. Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Vital can be disposed of in household waste.
