Protefix Adhesive Cushions

Effective protection against pressure points and inflammation, proven for difficult jaw conditions or major adhesion problems. Dentists particularly recommend Protefix Adhesive Cushions for relining the resulting cavities in temporary dentures for the lower and upper jaw in cases of particular problems during the interim period. The adhesive cushions consist of a fine, palate-friendly fleece fabric that contains sodium alginate and additionally supports the adhesive force after brief moistening. The cushions thus provide effective protection against pressure points and inflammation. In addition to their importance for interim dentures, they have also proven effective for severe jawbone loss - particularly in the lower jaw - if it is very narrow or severely flattened. Protefix Adhesive Cushions are therefore often the last resort for wearers of full dentures with extreme adhesion problems if nothing else will stick.

Composition

Fleece consisting of sodium alginate, viscose fiber, polypropylene fiber.

Application

Upper Jaw Denture

Step 1: For small dentures, cut the cushion to size with scissors. Then dip the cushion in lukewarm water for 10 seconds and allow to drain.
Step 2: Place the cushion on the moistened denture. The back 2 mm must remain uncovered. Press the cushion with both thumbs (starting in the middle) until it is smooth everywhere.

Lower Jaw Denture
Step 1: For small dentures, cut the cushion to size. Moisten the cushion and apply as for the upper jaw.
Step 2: Press the cushion into the recess of the denture with your index finger (starting in the middle) until it fits everywhere.

Important

Notes

Only use on healthy mucous membranes. For hygienic reasons, the Protefix Adhesive Cushion should be changed at least once a day. Do not use after the expiry date. Adhesive cushions should only be used temporarily. Have the fit of your denture checked regularly.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.

Side Effects

In individual cases, hypersensitivity reactions of the oral mucosa or even the entire organism cannot be ruled out. If you suspect an allergic reaction, please contact a doctor.

Notes

Only for full dentures. Not for partial dentures or combined dentures (cover dentures, telescopes, conical crowns, anchors, attachments, etc.).
