A classic flavour that the whole family will love! Violife slices are delicious and versatile – the choice is yours. The plant-based cheese alternative is free from lactose, gluten, nuts, soy and preservatives.
Violife Cheddar Flavour Slices can be enjoyed cold on bread or on their own, or melted in a vegan veggie burger, for example.
INGREDIENTS FOR VEGAN BBQ BURGERS (4 Burgers)
● 2 packs of Violife Cheddar Flavour Slices (8 slices) ● 4 burger buns ● 3 large potatoes ● 2 grated carrots ● 1 stick of leek, sliced ● 1 onion, chopped ● 1 clove of garlic, chopped ● 4 lettuce leaves ● 2 tomatoes, sliced ● Fresh basil and thyme, chopped ● Vegan barbecue sauce ● Olive oil ● Salt and pepper
PREPARATION
Wash, peel and quarter the potatoes and boil them in a pot of water until they are soft. Allow to cool slightly and then mash them with a fork in a bowl. Sauté the leek, carrots, onions and garlic in a pan with a little olive oil until they are soft. Remove the pan from the heat, add the basil and thyme and mix with the other ingredients.
Add the sautéed vegetable mixture to the mashed potatoes with a little olive oil, salt and pepper and mix all the ingredients by hand until a dough-like mixture is formed. Form the mixture into 4 patties and fry them in a pan with a little olive oil.
Then assemble the burgers: Spread barbecue sauce on both halves of the burger buns. Take the bottom half and add a lettuce leaf, the patty, 2 slices of Violife Cheddar Flavour, 2 tomato slices and the top half of the bun.
