Fairtrade Pineapple Chunks in their own Juice: Sun-ripened and packed in Thailand

Our pineapple is harvested by hand in Samroiyod (Thailand). It is juicy and sweet and can be used excellently for oriental dishes, desserts and cakes. The packaging is designed to minimize waste production.

It is sun-ripened and packed in Thailand and preserved in its own juice without added sugar.

“I peeled my first pineapple when I was 13,” says Khun Nipalin. “Fairtrade Original has made my future much brighter than I could have ever dreamed of as a girl. My children receive a good education and can even take music lessons. The future of the world is important to everyone,” she continues seriously. “That's why I'm involved in the cooperative for sustainable agriculture.”

Why pineapple chunks?

We take a close look at everything we can, including our pineapples. We noticed that many pineapples do not reach the right size and are therefore not suitable for sale. Many fruits therefore end up in the garbage. So we came up with the idea of using the fruits anyway, but not as slices, but cut directly into pieces. In the end, they still taste the same, of course!

The pineapple chunks are perfect for curry, smoothies, cocktails or punch for refreshment!
