Valrhona Chocolate Bahibe 46%

With a surprisingly high cocoa content for a milk chocolate (46%), Bahibé is inspired by a couverture that Valrhona developed at the request of one of its San Francisco customers. Bahibé is the perfect balance between the bitterness of pure Dominican Republic cocoa and the sweetness of milk. The name Bahibé is a tribute to the "Bayahibe Rose", a cactus flower and emblem of the Dominican Republic.

With its local partner, Valrhona has selected the best cocoa beans from the Dominican Republic to produce a rare
chocolate variety. Our partner is involved in Cacao Forest, a multi-stakeholder project in which Valrhona also participates. The project brings together partners such as producers, scientists, chocolatiers and private companies to develop sustainable models. The aim is to invent tomorrow's cocoa production thanks to the principle of agroforestry: growing cocoa trees in the midst of other trees. We combine the protection of the environment and the living conditions of the producers with the demand for quality and the expansion of the aroma range.
