About the Producer:

Molkerei Berchtesgadener Land, founded in 1927, is known for its high-quality dairy products from the Alpine region. As a cooperatively organized company, it is wholly owned by the approximately 1,600 farmers who supply their milk. These farmers often operate their farms as family businesses and make an important contribution to preserving the cultural landscape and biodiversity of their regions. The dairy places great importance on animal welfare, with an average of 27 cows per farm, and promotes sustainable agricultural practices without the use of glyphosate or genetically modified organisms. With the processing of organic milk since 1973, the dairy is considered a pioneer in organic milk production in Germany. Fairness towards farmers, sustainable packaging, and commitment to environmental and animal protection are core values of the company.
