The Alnatura Origin shrimps come from selected organic aquaculture farms on the west coast of Costa Rica. A maximum of 22 shrimps per m2 live there in near-natural pond systems, the banks of which are overgrown with plants and provide a habitat for many animal species. 15 cents per pack sold go as a donation to the Alnatura Mangrove Initiative for the reforestation of mangrove forests - the natural breeding and nursery for shrimps.
