Fresh field vegetables from Ginsheim

Before the potato began its triumphal march, this root vegetable was one of the main foods in this country. However, the elongated, white-brownish parsnip is still a great alternative and convinces with its spicy, sweet and nutty taste.

The parsnip can be processed very easily! It is washed thoroughly and can then be used as an alternative in all common potato dishes.

TIP: This vegetable is also a real highlight when raw, for example finely grated in a raw food salad!

For farmer Kai, taste and quality always come first, which is why he pays great attention to the sustainable cultivation of his fields. Even if this reduces the yield, it increases the quality of the products.

With heart and passion, the family business under the management of farmer Kai cultivates over 80 different crops exclusively outdoors. In addition to classic vegetables such as lettuce and various types of cabbage, a great deal of emphasis is also placed on tasty tomatoes. In a unique outdoor cultivation in this country, specialities such as peppers, aubergines and even watermelons are also grown.
