  • 350 g pork tenderloin
  • 3 tbsp Hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce

Marinate the pork tenderloin in a mixture of oyster sauce and 3 tablespoons of Hoisin sauce (as a substitute for Char Siu sauce) for at least 30 minutes, but preferably overnight.

Preheat the oven to 190 °C. Bake the marinated meat for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, turn the meat and bake for another 20 minutes.

Brush the meat with another tablespoon of sauce, turn off the oven, and let the meat rest in the oven for a few minutes before slicing.

Chef's tip

Serve the sliced meat in a rich chicken broth with noodles and fresh spring onions for a classic Char Siu noodle soup.
