Qualivo Rumpsteak – aromatic, robust & perfect for the pan

The Rumpsteak from the Qualivo range impresses with beautiful marbling, a firm bite, and an intense beef flavour. The characteristic fat rim ensures extra juiciness and aroma when frying. Ideal for pan or grill – strong roasted aromas on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside.

Ingredients (for 1 steak)

Rumpsteak, salt, pepper, oil with a high smoke point, optionally butter, garlic & herbs.

Preparation (short & simple)

Preparation: Bring steak to room temperature for 30–45 minutes, lightly score the fat rim. Salt immediately before frying. Pepper only after frying.

Searing: Heat pan strongly, add oil. Sear steak for approx. 2–3 minutes per side. Optionally render the fat rim separately until crispy.

Flavouring: Add butter + garlic + herbs and baste for 1 minute.

Resting: Let rest covered for 5 minutes – maximises juiciness and aroma.

• Rare: 48–50 °C
• Medium-rare: 52–54 °C
• Medium: 56–57 °C
• Well done: from 65 °C
