Prepare Bread Bones

First, prepare the yeast dough for the "bones". Sift the flour into a bowl, form a well in the center, pour in the lukewarm water, and crumble in the yeast. Stir with a little flour from the edge to form a pre-dough.

Sprinkle salt on the edge of the flour and let it rest for 15 minutes until the pre-dough forms bubbles. Then add the olive oil and knead everything into a smooth, compact dough. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour.

Divide the dough into 16 equal pieces. Form each piece into a long, thin roll. Halve the roll and round off the ends. Place two rolls next to each other and press the middle together to form a bone shape. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
