Place the canned white beans (including their liquid) along with the chicken broth into a blender and blend until smooth.

Peel and finely chop the garlic. Drain the beans from the second can in a sieve.

Heat a pot over medium heat and add the sunflower oil. Add the chopped garlic and sauté until translucent for 2–3 minutes.

Chef's tip

For a vegan version, you can simply replace the chicken broth with vegetable broth.

Serve the soup with toasted ciabatta or garlic bread for extra crispiness.
