Preparation method

Ingredients overview

  • 2 packs ready-made pizza dough (à 280 g)
  • 200 g peeled canned tomatoes
  • 100 g crème fraîche
  • 100 g Prosciutto Crudo
  • 125 g mozzarella
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp dried herbs de Provence
  • 1 handful pitted black olives
  • 1 handful fresh basil
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
1

Finely dice the red onion and sauté until golden brown in a pan with one tablespoon of olive oil. Add the pressed garlic and roast briefly. Stir in the canned tomatoes, season with herbs de Provence, salt, and pepper. Let the sauce simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes until most of the liquid has evaporated.

2

Remove the pan from the heat, stir in the crème fraîche, and finely blend the sauce. Roll out the pizza dough on a baking sheet and generously spread with the tomato sauce. Top with Prosciutto Crudo. Slice the mozzarella and arrange it on the pizza to resemble small ghosts. Use the black olives to create faces for the ghosts and small spiders.

3

Bake the pizza in a preheated oven at 180 °C (fan-assisted) for approx. 15–20 minutes until the dough is crispy. Garnish with fresh basil before serving. The edges can be brushed with a little olive oil for extra shine.

Chef's tip

For particularly crispy results, bake the pizza dough on a pizza stone.
