Dieser Flammkuchen mit frischen Feigen ist die perfekte Kombination aus süß und salzig. Dough Preparation
First, prepare the dough. Mix the flour with most of the salt (approx. 5 g) in a bowl. Melt the lard in a small pot and add the mineral water to warm it slightly. Add the lukewarm mixture to the flour and knead everything for about 5 minutes until a smooth, non-sticky dough forms. Wrap the dough in cling film and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Topping Preparation
Meanwhile, prepare the ingredients for the topping. Since the Flammkuchen bakes for a very short time, all ingredients (like the figs) must be cut into very thin slices. Stir the sour cream with the cream cheese until smooth and season with the remaining salt and pepper.
Preheat the oven to maximum heat (approx. 250 °C). Leave the baking tray in the oven so it gets really hot – this will make the Flammkuchen nice and crispy from below.
