Bring water to a boil in a pot. Add the dried wakame seaweed and simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, cut the tofu into cubes, slice the spring onions into fine rings, and finely chop the coriander.

Add tofu, spring onions, and soy sauce to the soup and let it simmer gently for another 5 minutes. Then carefully stir in the miso paste and heat for about another 5 minutes until the paste has completely dissolved – do not boil vigorously anymore.
