Preparation method
Preheat the oven to 210–220 °C. Prepare a piece of aluminum foil (approx. 30 x 30 cm).
Place the unpeeled garlic cloves in the center of the aluminum foil and drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Seal the foil into a tight packet. Roast the garlic packet in the preheated oven for approx. 45 minutes, until the garlic is soft.
Meanwhile, cook the whole wheat spaghetti in a large pot with plenty of salted water according to package directions until al dente. Then drain.
Chef's tip
Roasting makes the garlic wonderfully creamy and mild. You can also roast a larger quantity of garlic at once and store the paste in the refrigerator for other dishes.
